İzmir: A workshop with interruptions

The olive-oil workshop at [Klazomenai](/en/yer/klazomenai) has a stop-start history. It was founded in the first half of the sixth century BCE, abandoned around mid-century, reorganised in the final quarter, and fell out of use around 500 BCE. The workshop’s changing use gives the city a production history distinct from its coastal setting.

53 narratives and 67 place records connect to this discovery world through thematic and geographic relationships.
