Northern Aegean: A protected southern slope

[Kazdağı National Park](/en/yer/kaz-daglari) was declared in 1993 and covers 21,450 hectares on the mountain’s southern face. Deep valleys and canyons create varied conditions; forest and water ecosystems are among the park’s stated values. Nearby [Antandros](/en/yer/antandros), at the southern foothills, carries another time layer in its first-century CE Roman villa, mosaic and frescoes.

29 narratives and 40 place records connect to this discovery world through thematic and geographic relationships.
